What are your resolutions for the New Year and what are some things you are looking forward to in 2011?

Resolutions-I am going to lose over 50 pounds and be thing for once in my life. I'm tired of being average or "frumpy". It's time to start getting fit for graduation and college. Next year I hope to be happy with my appearance without covering everything up. Ohya, and thighs, you won't be touching when I stand up anymore.

Looking forward to-I am really excited to be finishing off my Senior year at high school and starting my life outside of public school. I still need to decide on what school I am attending for sure, but something tells me I will be accepting and attending the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor because it is just an opportunity I could not pass up on. College will bring many new experiences into my life and I am really looking forward to a fresh start with people who do not remember that time I wet myself in Kindergarten or throwing up in the fifth grade.

Good resolutions/aspirations for the future! Sounds like a great plan. You should keep us updated on your progress!

And thanks for this thread. Now I have an excuse to type everything in one place as opposed to having it all buzzing around in my head:

Resolutions -
  1. Bring a water bottle everywhere and drink a lot more water
  2. FLOSS MORE
  3. Work out at least an hour a day, at least 5 days a week
  4. Stay on top of academic work, actually doing what I plan when I plan to do it
  5. Start working on my first book
  6. Help my roommate out more with apartment cleaning
  7. Be ahead of the game with job/scholarship applications

Looking forward to - I'm really just looking forward to the composite image of all of these goals, a life where I'm, once again, on top of academics like no other by now maximizing my time everywhere (2010 was tough with lots of life changes impacting time commitments). By having my work done all the time according to my work spread of the syllabi, I'll have a lot more time for the important things I've wanted to incorporate into my life for so long, namely the big things on my list above: work out 5 days a week, drink plenty of water on a daily basis, clean the apartment appropriately with my OCD roommate, and generally utilize the extra time for advantageous means in life, not surfing the internet. Not to say that won't happen, but, in the end, I'm looking forward to creating time through acting on spreading out the various commitments in my life, which I'll utilize well.

New Years Resolution - Worthyness - 2010-12-31

Bah I should have had these written already Rolleyes

Resolutions (For now):

1. attempt to eat healthier (Not really necessary, but mandatory since i tend to eat a lot)
2. Driver's license (been working on this one for years)
3. Do better in College (grade wise and study wise)
4. Enroll in a major that i will enjoy working in for a long time (Honestly i haven't a clue. at this point this goal is directed at me to make myself make an appointment with a guidance counselor to help me with this)
5. Get better at video games that I'm extremely terrible in (namely FPS and RTS)
6. Be a better Active person in my Fraternity (community service based, so i'd like to work on working on more Service events).

Looking forward to:

The rest of my life. Seriously. If i'm going to be deciding on a major now (i kinda have to. I don't get to enroll in classes until i have one), I'll need to look forward to the job that i could potentially have. I hope that it encompasses traveling and something that isn't slow and the same every day of the rest of my life. I'm looking forward to adjusting my study habits to not be last-minute cramming. Of course, life wouldn't be quite the same without socializing, so i look forward to working with my extra curricular and academics.

To begin a regime of constant self-improvement.

And to be less sarcastic.

On a serious note, i don't like resolutions. it's like everyone around me just spent the last year failing themselves.
