Big Bang Level EXP Curve - Chameleonic - 2010-12-02

Nexon Wrote:One of the biggest features in Big Bang is a revamped level experience curve. In the biggest update ever for MapleStory, leveling is an enjoyable challenge, not a difficult climb. Our focus was to help as many players as possible experience the varied and fantastic content we’ve developed over the last 5 years. We’re presenting visual graphs of the level by level gains needed to go from level 1 to 200 in Big Bang. Enjoy!

The early EXP needs have been dramatically reduced so players can spend more time diving into the deep world of MapleStory.

Level 31 through 70 are critical levels and the hardcore Maple experience begins here. Overall, levels 1 through 70 can be achieved 5x faster compared to the original EXP curve!

Maple characters gain some serious skills by level 120. So the EXP needed to get to level 120 is a third of the previous requirement.

Finally, the total EXP needed to reach level 200 is halved! It will still require the same amount of dedication though!

The new level curve puts an emphasis on rewarding you for hard work and helping you experience the best adventures in the game. Thanks again, and hope you are looking forward to Big Bang on December 7!

Great step in the right direction. +1

Oh sweet! A graph! I can totally make use of this information because of the properly labeled axi and the attention to detail which allows me to derive values accurate to the 1s place.

I realize we have the values already and that 95% of Maple does not understand what e^x means, but the least they could have done was approximate the ratio between the two curves.

Not only is that graph completely inaccurate but it makes next to no sense.

I would've preferred numbers.

That was obvious though.

At least 4th job is now realistic to achieve to someone like me.

Adjusting graph for accuracy and y axis relevance:

If you recall, Nexon did something like this for the 25% exp reduction a long time back.

Isnt it the same graph? lol

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - SaptaZapta - 2010-12-02

Aside from being incorrect, the graph doesn't even serve its purpose (of hype, in case that was not clear).
It looks like there's been no change at all to level 70, and minimal reduction to level 100.
Your average "training after 50 is too hard for me" mapler will look at that and say something like "oh, so now level 170's have to work half as hard to get to 171, good for those no-lifes, but irrelevant for me".

They should have zoomed in on the 1-120 range, or maybe 1-70 even, and of course made it correct and labelled it.

What does the curve have to do with this?
What makes you explore content areas is the way monster exp has been evened out (hopefully... world tour still out of whack in Tespia) and the accuracy formula. And what's "helping you experience the best adventures" is quests.

NexonAM was never real good at making graphs... Rolleyes

SaptaZapta.....don't.........don't try to make sense out of this. You will end in ruin.

Well one could say the higher you are the more you can explore?Biggrin

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - Mike - 2010-12-02

It doesn't even show the exp reduction for levels 70 and below.

Yeah and they have the greatest reduction percentage.

They deleted the announcement, so I guess they're making a better one with their PRO EXCEL SKILLZ.
