Were elemental weapons fixed? - Kabanaw - 2008-09-10

Well, on the gacha notice on the site, they have elemental wand 6 listed, so do you think they were fixed? Also, anyone who has one, can you verify if it does/doesn't?

Yeah, they put them on the notice the last patch too. I don't know why they would list the same thing twice unless they changed it.

Finally some good news.

Were elemental weapons fixed? - godofturtles - 2008-09-10

Good news? Time for the bad news: They still work for bishops.

I thought bishops didn't have any elemental weapons, and if they used one, they're damage is reduced by 0.25 =O.

Yeah, that's the problem. The damage apparently isn't reduced <_<

"bad news" lol. its funny how how the game designers have twisted the game so much that the community/players considers every slight favor that favors a popular class is considered "bad news". just like the 35atk level 10 claw from bms. rather than be happy for the class, they get shunned. i guess its a case of "he has more candy than me". i personally have grown used to all of nexon's behavior. their extended patches, their lack of knowledge about the game, their strive for more profit, their lack of concern for players. though NLC pots were a huge surprise but the was a one-hit-wonder so far.

just once id like to see something cool that promotes balance (like atk shield scrolls, elemental weapon, str shields for str bandits) come out of a version thats not jms.

Were elemental weapons fixed? - godofturtles - 2008-09-10

Err the 35 att claw in bms is temporary, and completely broken anyway. And yeah its bad news for mages like me who now have to compete with every bishop in khaini including my guildies (lol vic and bun =D). And the bishop community outnumbers us outrageously, so it'll be lucky to even find one. Ever.

It's more bad news for F/Ps because it means bishops would be snatching up the F/P wands that I/Ls don't need.

Were elemental weapons fixed? - godofturtles - 2008-09-10

Very true Cyanne, it screws both classes over.

the lvl 130 wands will be snatched up by bishops regardless whether it's f/p or i/l wands. How is it more bad news for f/p? i/l will probably suffer more as the i/l population is bigger

Were elemental weapons fixed? - Dervish - 2008-09-11

While it's a down-side, it's not that big of a deal. Due to the nature of magic attack, by far the largest boost comes from the +25%, and you can get that from the level 70 wands which Bishops won't want nearly as badly.

If the penalty was there, then F/P wands would definitely not be the 2bil the wands are right now just because they would only be effective for F/Ps. The I/L wands would stay where they are since there are more I/Ls. Since they don't have penalties now, why would you pay more for an I/L wand than an F/P wand? Not to mention that the poison wand is the strongest of them all. This means F/P wands will even out in price with I/L wands.

It's a common misconception that "You get what you pay for". However, it's not always the case. Here, you pay a lot to get a little. The price doesn't always justify the reward, and assuming it does is a road to disaster.

"It's expensive so it must have the benefit" --> Leads to bad/faulty assumptions.
