T-1337 and how it works. - Retalion - 2008-08-16 Taken from my blog here: http://retalion.wordpress.com/2008/08/15/the-new-potions/#more-301 So long story short, I was doing the hyper glyphs quest so I can do the Finding Jack quest and found an Adapter. As I continued looking for Hyper Glyphs, I found Sparkplugs as well and after a while, a Difurium (sp?) cell. So I went to talk to the NPC and came up with this (for whatever reason, for those who want the text).
Spoiler
Basically, he requires you to give him a Diferium Cell, a T-1 Socket Adapter, a Spark Plug, a Jumper Cable and 150 boomer cores and he'll give you some potions.
Spoiler
I personally got Megajuice, which adds 200 mag atk for 30 seconds. ![]() And after the quest, as he took the Diferium Cell, I cant talk to him anymore. ![]() Extra notes: I did not get to choose the potion I wanted. It seems to be completely random. -As you can see by the text, a triferium cell produces 50% more product. Perhaps that means I'd have gotten 4 pots if I used it? I dont know. I'd have to find one to try xP -When you do the quest, he takes one of each item from you so if you want to mass get them, you better stock up. -The quest gives 2500 exp. - A cell of some form is needed for the NPC to talk (~takebacker) - Both IAM Robots and Electrophants drop Adapters, Electrophants drop cells, and sparkplugs, IAM Robots drop jumper cables. Wolf Spiders drop cables and adapters (~Isaac and Chameleonic on Wolf spider info) -The 3 parts seem to have a decent drop rate. I found 13 adapters and 9sparkplugs in 50 hyper glyphs but only 1 Diferium Cell. I got the Jump Cable after 2 Maps from robots so go figure. That's all. Any discussion/questions? feel free to post here. If you have additional information, post it/PM it and I'll add it. A friend did it too and also got mega juice. Additional note: Triferium cells give 2x pots (giving 4 instead of 2)-confirmed by anyoneisgod T-1337 and how it works. - Jirai - 2008-08-16 Looks like Triferium comes from iTCG. It's still great you can make these with regular drops though. T-1337 and how it works. - Chameleonic - 2008-08-16 Ahh thanks for that. Nexon are adding a lot of "hidden" stuff. I dont particularly like this but NxProse seems to. lol T-1337 and how it works. - Takebacker - 2008-08-16 If the pots had a decent effect i would consider it worth stocking up. I was doing the exact same thing you did but i had the 10+ jump cables, spark plugs, and T-1 adapters and he didn't talk. It's the cells that make him talk to you. Not only do the pots have a horrible effect, the parts drop horribly slow. Took me around...4 hours to get 10 of each part? I didn't even find a cell in either electrophant or robot map. I did find a jungle lilly though. In conclusion, cells have a worse drop rate than jungle lillys. T-1337 and how it works. - IsaacGS - 2008-08-16 Hmm, interesting! So his abilities aren't entirely TCG related. That's very cool. Wolf spiders also drop Jumper Cables and Socket adapters. I'm betting all mechanical monsters do. T-1337 and how it works. - Chameleonic - 2008-08-16 Wolf Spiders drop Jumper Cables and T-1 Socket Adapters, I found some when doing the "kill 100 WS" quest. edit lol Isaac does it again!
T-1337 and how it works. - Jirai - 2008-08-16 Also, lol at them making fun of Vista XD His new operating system Dephista is malfunctioning, eh? XD T-1337 and how it works. - Takebacker - 2008-08-16 Jirai Wrote:Also, lol at them making fun of Vista XD LMFAO. Didn't notice that. Then, what're the chances that they'll up the rates on his parts dropping? The way things are, none of his pots will get into the market after set 5 comes out. T-1337 and how it works. - Anyoneisgod - 2008-08-16 i think maybe just maybe the triwahchacall it fuel cell may make him sell em? T-1337 and how it works. - Retalion - 2008-08-16 Takebacker Wrote:LMFAO. Didn't notice that. I wouldnt be surprised. I was able to find 50 hyper glyphs in around 1-2 hours. That's A LOT faster than I remember my sis doing it so... yeah. T-1337 and how it works. - Takebacker - 2008-08-16 Retalion Wrote:I wouldnt be surprised. Although i'd love it more if they made every single part drop from WS, because level 50s trying to get glyphs and stumbling on these parts and probably dropping them not knowing what to do isn't a way to get these pots into the market. At least WS are massacred frequently by people who would probably know what to do with it all. T-1337 and how it works. - TehDrummah - 2008-08-16 Do Wolf Spiders drop the Diferium Cell? T-1337 and how it works. - Spadow - 2008-08-16 ''Awesome-o'' reminded me of South Park. T-1337 and how it works. - Cheesecake - 2008-08-16 awww, so the quest isn't repeatable? T-1337 and how it works. - Blankout - 2008-08-16 Cheesecake Wrote:awww, so the quest isn't repeatable? It is, but you need to have a cell to talk to him. T-1337 and how it works. - TehDrummah - 2008-08-16 So did anyone manage to find a cell at spiders or something? I wanted to start buying them but electrophants or w/e are so deserted. T-1337 and how it works. - Beaner - 2008-08-16 this is sad, i was hoping once you make him work he would sell you the pots. oh well nexon always makes the good stuff useless by making it near impossible to have a decent supply. T-1337 and how it works. - Corn - 2008-08-16 ^ Lol @ selling 200 magic attack potions.
