Login Procedure Change - Corn - 2010-02-08 Is this Nexon's way of addressing the hackings!?!?!?? INCREDIBLE! Login Procedure Change - Nightclaw - 2010-02-08 I predict alot of hacked accounts at the small window where there is no PIN or PIC Login Procedure Change - PrincePage - 2010-02-08 Well done. Addressing the problems without actually addressing the problems verbally. Impressive. Login Procedure Change - Shinryuji - 2010-02-08 is the method of entering the PIC the same as entering are PIN, e.g. the mouse and key board thing o.o? to other versions that may have it Login Procedure Change - Spideyjvc - 2010-02-08 Nightclaw Wrote:I predict alot of hacked accounts at the small window where there is no PIN or PIC This. At least I can finally use some of my other accounts that I forgot the pin to and lost the false information needed to request a reset. Login Procedure Change - Cancambo - 2010-02-08 FYI: this new system will probably let you type your PIC in with your own keyboard (and allow you to use the soft keyboard as well), and this might make more people fall victim to keyloggers (I'd imagine). Login Procedure Change - Sarah - 2010-02-08 This isn't addressing anything, by the way. It's probably further incriminating them since they're taking inside action, but saying "here's something new" isn't actually addressing the situation and they shouldn't be let off the hook. Login Procedure Change - Nightclaw - 2010-02-08 We can be optimistic and hope that this PIC is stored in a safer location than pins and is impossible to hack /dreaming Login Procedure Change - SlayerZach - 2010-02-08 Hooray, no more slow clicking soft keyboard pins? :f6: Login Procedure Change - Nightclaw - 2010-02-08 SlayerZach Wrote:Hooray, no more slow clicking soft keyboard pins? :f6: you should keep doing it in case you have a keylogger Login Procedure Change - Link - 2010-02-08 This almost sounds like the security system Korean MapleStory uses at character selection. When you click your character in KMS, you get a prompt asking you to type in a 7 digit code. You can type it with your keyboard and use the soft-keyboard system. Don't know what I did, but I've only ever seen that once. Login Procedure Change - Stereo - 2010-02-08 Soft keyboard annoys me quite a bit... especially if they give you the whole alphabet, randomly placed. I'd probably set my PIC to 111111 or something if you had to enter it on the soft keyboard. If it lets you use both I might alternate between them by habit but only as much as I used the PIN (4 letters no more) Login Procedure Change - Nightclaw - 2010-02-08 Stereo Wrote:Soft keyboard annoys me quite a bit... especially if they give you the whole alphabet, randomly placed. My pin is 1111, have fun with that tidbit of knowledge. If it comes down to the PIN being the only thing protecting me I'm fucked anyway, what does it matter? Login Procedure Change - Link - 2010-02-08 Hazzy Wrote:Don't know what I did, but I've only ever seen that once. That's because it only asks you as an option. If you hit escape when that window came up, you skip it an never get it again. If you entered a security key, you have to enter it every time you want to log in on that character. Incriminate them if they take action. Incriminate them if they don't take action. Incriminate them if they take responsibility. Incriminate them if they don't take responsibility. I guess they're screwed no matter what they do, eh Login Procedure Change - Greg - 2010-02-08 So what is this exactly? Instead of a password and a pin, it's basically two passwords? To be honest, I'd rather have this along with the pin system. Why'd they have to remove that? Login Procedure Change - ThatWasMyKil - 2010-02-08 Fiel Wrote:Incriminate them if they take action.
