199999 damage per triple throw star - Cyanne - 2010-01-20
Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!: When you glitch 4x damage out of pyramid (which is a bug itself), shadow partner will always do 199999 per critical star on triple throw.

It lasts 40 minutes, not sure whether or not alchemist affects it though.

AH, glitching pyramid pq. MSEA had a Flamewar over this. Luckily they fixed it.
EDIT: i never did the glitch before but i heard thats its only possible in a party. Basically once you are in the party and gotten the 4x attack buff. quit it. this will cause everybody to go to the exit map.... while bringing along something extra

LOL? 199,999 damage per star isn't even impressive, imo. Night Lords these days will never impress me, they impress me less if they're using a glitch to do that amount of damage. I actually hope they fix this. -shrug-

Just tested it at zakum, and the damage is real. Alchemist works on it too, extending the duration from 40 minutes to an hour.

Wait, Alchemist works on 'potions' that has either a time duration, or a set amount like xxx. If this is a buff, I don't see how Alchemist can work on it. That sounds ..weird.

Because PQ buffs are just potions that you don't manually enable, the game casts them.
Alchemist works on pretty much all PQ buffs. You can time it on the Mulung Dojo pretty easily (the ones you loot).

I don't think this is a "force 200k damage" thing. One of my fellow HT runners did it too, but with the 300% buff. Her top stars were doing very close to, but not quite 200k. I postulate that Shadow Partner, which normally does 50% of the bottom star's damage, was made to do 350% or 450% (+300% and +400% respectively) of the bottom star's damage. Since the bottom stars are already doing huge damage, this is further multiplied by an error in calculation for Shadow Partner. That would also explain why the top stars do more damage than the bottom.
