Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - Goals - 2009-09-15 I need mesos to get back on my feet after scrolling some good and waste all my mesos doing so (unfortunately its something I have to keep Time Piece Farming Pros: - 8mil a time piece = 2 an hour to beat leech selling profit - No need to find a buyer, S> in shop takes no effort to advertise - Could potentially be alot more profitable than selling leech - Non-mages can farm time pieces Time Piece Farming Cons: - Less exp gained - Must buy 2x drop card for decent profitable drop rate - IMO less motivating because I get sucky exp Leeching Pros: - Exp gain @ skeles - 15m per hour (not bad) - Stable money Leeching Cons: -Finding a buyer -Although 4x isn't required, it's a hassle with a leecher around (2x is a must though, or else you waste time leeching for pocket change/mediocre exp) -You can't take breaks when you're leeching someone *This is not a leeching legitimacy discussion thread! Any thoughts? Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - Chompy - 2009-09-15 Ummm Pot costs may be nominal but that would be nice. ![]() Also price per hour of leech?
Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - Dusk - 2009-09-15 Time Piece farming is accessible to non-mages! Woo! Time Pieces are deflating as more people are catching on, though. Dunno when they'll bottom out. I'm guessing around 5-6? So it's probably going to get worse compared to what it is now, in any case. Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - Stereo - 2009-09-15 I get about 3 per 2 hours and I'm definitely slower than an AM >> I don't think 2x drops are worth the bother unless you want to train for 4 hour chunks all the time. Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - Valen - 2009-09-15 Leech prices are something that are always going to stay high & stable as lots of lazy people want exp, while PoTs will keep decreasing in price as more & more people get them. Sure it doesn't take the trouble of finding a buyer but then leech doesn't take the trouble of selling everytime you pick one up, especially if PoTs are becoming more common they'll become harder & harder to sell for a good price. That & as mentioned, leeching is exclusive to mages. I'm going with selling leech on this one, Keith. Hey Stan. ![]() Im leaning towards PoT farming because I don't like leechers in general. :\ Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - IllegallySane - 2009-09-15 Nyah, leave Time Temple out of this. 1. They are horrible for non-mages layout-wise 2. As you already said, EXP/hour sucks there. Why go with a slower source of EXP in order to get money when you can kill two birds with one stone by selling leech? 3. You're still going to have to grind for 4 hours if you're using a 2x drop card Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - Johnson - 2009-09-16 IllegallySane Wrote:1. Heh, somone sounds like he wants to keep his trainingground to himself as well as keeping the pieces of time at such an overpriced level.

I found 16 PoT at O2 with one 4 hour 2x drop card. That's pretty darn good if yeh ask me. Plus, its not like PoT is the ONLY thing you find at TT. with double drop, you're bound to get some equipments and scrolls, too. Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - MagicsBISH - 2009-09-16 Hi, back when i played Maplestory (yes i quitted forever, but still checking Forums) i used to farm money by zakking. Well i tried PoT farming too wit my friends, but the income of zakum was better compared to farming pieces or selling leech. u just need a store permit and a char wit no zhelm. Kill zak 2 times and loot 2 helmets and sell em in the FM. One in your mushi and the other in the store permit. I made over 2bil in 2 weeks. The biggest Challenge is to find other goodly zakker with no helm. I went with my buddys: 4 PPL + 2 drop = 130-200m profit in 90 min (after tax and apples and cost for karma and shop and pots). It took us arund 25 Min to defeat Zak. lvl range was 165-200. back to topic: when i farmed PoT's with my Hero (15x) i found arund 10-15 PoTs in 4 Hrs, compared to leech its better income but less EXP. I also traded 2x party wit 3 other ppl so i was min 2-3 hrs on 4x drop. So yea: - PoT farming is better income when the price is above 6mil ea pieace - u dont need to find a leecher - but less exp - leeching = more exp - stable income, ALWAYS! Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - CarrionCrow - 2009-09-16 Am i then only one that find it sickening people make business out of every godforsaken thing? Time Piece Farming VS Leeching - Komality - 2009-09-16 This is why sadly, the age of the beta maplers is coming to an end, ms is no longer about making friends and just enjoying the game. If you dont have the mesos now a days, your just not good enough to be noticed, albeit the beta-ers like myself don't truly care about this, it doesn't change the fact that mesos = power now. On topic: I find the PoT farming to be the best form of income for non AM/Bish or non leechers in general. I aplogise that the only possible way I've found to train without losing mesos is to sell pieces of time to cover my potion costs. Yeah, I feel real terrible about it.

Yeah, I feel real terrible about it. I HIGHLY doubt he was talking about things like that. Selling drops you find while training/questing is supposed to be the main way to make mesos in this game. lol |
