What map/ maps would you say would be the best place to farm pieces of time, or train, for lower leveled people or for people who have yet to unlock the harder maps?

1. Out of the Memory maps, what map would be the best?
Memory 4
Memory 5

2. Out of the Regret maps, what map would be the best?
Regret 3

3. Out of the Oblivion maps, what map would be the best?
Oblivion 1/2 (mages)
Oblivion 4

Bosses:
Dodo (Memory 5)
Lilynouch

Yes I understand some of the Regret and all of the Oblivion maps are for higher leveled players, but I would like to have all of this as a reference for myself.
(Sorry if this is in the wrong section)

Dodo

Edit: dodo, lilynouch, oblivion 4.

Thanks for the responses.
On topic: What about maps for the people that don't have a lot of HP (unwashed ranged classes mainly)?

Pieces of Time for low levels - Mark - 2009-09-01

Dodo and Lilynouch have a 3 hour spawn time. Can someone please enlighten me as to how they are the superior hunting objects? I've killed maybe 20 Dodos in my romp through Time Temple and only found 1 Time Piece from them.

They stay in the first or second map when you first enter. Heart Lovely exp.

Dodo and Memory 5. Nothing there is harder than Himes, Dodo can be taken down reasonably by archers with Puppet (be careful, though, as he can do 4kish damage), and plenty of platforms to move around on. Heavy spawn though, so Memory 4 if you can't kill quickly enough.

For 9x-11x, I'd recommend Memory 4.

This, i've killed my share of them and havent found them that often.

Really I think the droprate appears to be fairly equal, so go for whichever one is the best exp/kill rate

For people who can kill them in 1-2 minutes each this results in 1 piece of time for 20 minutes of work. They can then kill in the respective other maps while awaiting respawn, go train at skeles, go PQ, etc, and come back 3 hours later. An average of 3 per hour is pretty good, considering I get maybe 1-2 per hour while training normally (4-8 in a 3-4hour period)

I heard just today that Dodo ( and I'm guessing the other bosses too) all have a 45 minute to 1 hour spawn time. Please correct me if I heard incorrectly.

I also read somewhere around here that no matter what part of Temple of Time you are in, that the Guardians are always the best way to get Pieces of Time. Is that correct?

People comment that the stronger monsters have a higher droprate, but this appears to only happen because 90% of the people in Time Temple are killing at Oblivion 2 / 4. I got an average of 1-2 per 999 quest I completed, so I don't believe there is a difference.

They have a 1-hour spawn time, and they're only there because the topic starter asked for the best monsters of each area and because the regular memories and regrets monsters have horrid time piece droprates. Any of the oblivion monsters are better for time pieces than the bosses, but the bosses are generally better than the memories/regrets monsters.

I've tried hunting time pieces in many of the different maps in time temple and have to say that there really is a pretty huge difference.

Dodo's the bomb for people who can kill him fast. I can kill him in about 1 minute and 30 seconds. To kill all 19 channels, it always takes me around 30 minutes. I usually find at least one (three one time) per 19 Dodos. When I get ambitious, I can often find many sets of 17-19 Dodos per day. It's really cheap (only takes a couple MP pots per Dodo) and easy to do, with a higher return of Time Ore. I love that whale.

He can't be this awesome for everyone, but Dodo is still a great source of Time Ore.

._. too bad both Dodo and Lilynouch are a peach for Corsairs unless you want to stand and tank heavy damage to your ship.

And yes, I found Time Pieces about 4 times more often than a Bishop at Memory 5 by training at Oblivion 2.

I also have gotten 1 Piece of Time per quest I have done. It didn't seem like much of a difference to me, but then again I just started yesterday.

Edit: The other day I asked someone what map would be best for a low leveled bowmaster and he said Regret 4 or 5 with maxed Inferno. Does that just go along with the Guardians having a better drop rate or what?

Odd, because I've never noticed a difference. I've hunted at Memory 5 and at Oblivion 4 (while training), and while I prefer Oblivion 4 (more experience), I get about the same at both locations. Then again, I also have a huge difference in killing speed (I kill at Memory 5 twice as fast as at Oblivon 4), so idk. At any rate, it still is nice to be able to make 35-70m per 4 hour training session.

For me it seemed I got more pieces the more I went into the Temple. But maybe it's just coincidence since I only found like 6 total.

Lilynouch is annoying I died with damage reflect......It goes through auto hp pouch. Or I had a glitch every time it hit.

Thank you for the feedback everyone. How long do you think it would take to farm lets say 100 pieces of time from any of the Memory maps?

Look at it this way -
If I get roughly 4-8 in 4 hours at what is believed to be the best place to farm them, and I kill considerably fast there, it would take me approximately 50-100 hours to obtain 100 pieces of time. If you get half that at memory 5, then it would take twice as long. Someone dedicated to farming them can get roughly 20 in a 7-8 hour stretch, using 2 2x drop cards. It's going to take quite a bit of time, regardless. There's a reason making Reverse gear is costly, both in time and resources.
