Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - AvatarDelta - 2009-05-29 To access the Center, talk to a NPC that looks like an announcement board called 'Mu Lung Announcement' with texts saying Mu Gong is recruiting challengers from the Maple World to defeat him. The NPC can be found in each town in TMS, and for MSEA, Mu Lung, Ellinia, Kerning and Orbis town. There is a level requirement of 25.
Announcement Board
The Lobby hall has only one NPC, So Gong, Mu Gong's apprentice. Talk to him to begin the challenge. If you choose party mode, the party leader only needs to talk to So Gong before proceeding. If you choose solo mode and are your first time doing so, you need to defeat So Gong first before going on.

The boss is located at the bottom level. The far right of the bottom level is a transporter that transports you to the upper level, containing the portal to the next floor which will not open until the boss is defeated. Training points will only be given after you enter the portal to the next floor, not immediately after you kill the boss. This means you can still get 0 points for Round 27 if you managed to kill C. Rog but got owned by the Jr. Balrogs he summons before you reach the portal. Notice that the player's health bar and the boss's health bar appears at the top of the screen.
The door left of So Gong only opens after the boss is defeated and points will only be given if you go through it. ![]()
List of Rounds
The time limit is for all 5 bosses, meaning you have 5 minutes to defeat the first 5 rounds of bosses, and so on. After much experimenting lately, I find that Partying gives (n-1) points for each boss. For example, Mano gives 2 points for soloing right? In Party mode, each party member gets 1 point. Faust gives 2 points instead of 3 in Party mode and so on. I have been informed that the level range between party members must not be higher than 30. After every fifth round, there is a resting floor that has no time limit for you to recharge HP/ MP. You can also talk to So Gong at the resting floors to save your progress so that you can teleport directly to that resting floor the next time you come in. You can only save your progress in the resting floors, not in rounds of your liking. You do not lose exp if you die in the Dojo.
A nice place for resting
You can't use any items you bring during the challenge. Instead, bosses will summon minions, which, when defeated, drop potions that work like MCPQ pots, meaning they are consumed the moment you pick them up. All pots affect every single party members.
Bosses drop power ups that aid in your challenge.
Powerups' effects increase progressively by stage. For example, the first stage(1-5) bosses drop powerups with least effects and has the shortest duration, and the effects/duration increase as more powerful powerups are dropped by higher stage bosses. Once you defeated him, you arrive at the roof deck of the tower where you are rewarded exp. Here, the player can jump down from the tower until they land on the entrance of the tower. The more damage your character receives, the higher the bar level. You can unleash any of the 3 skills below by using the combo once the bar is fully charged. Note that the energy bar will go down by itself if you don't get hit in a while.
Training Points Training points accumulated can be exchanged for Martial Belts that boosts stats. The points do not decrease after exchanging for belts. Maximum point allowed is 17000 points and bosses do not award points after this. After exchanging the Black Belt(requires 17000 points), you can reset the points with So Gong to collect the second set of belts. Before resetting, you can't exchange the same belt twice.
Belts
By the way, medals are awarded for killing bosses. So Gong awards medals for killing 100 bosses of the same type in Solo mode, however, they last 1 day only. Also, you must start from getting medals of the weaker bosses before challenging better ones. For example, you must first get the Mano medal, then Stumpy, and so on until Mu Gong's. Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Beaner - 2009-05-29 so killing pap and mu gong is gonna be hard since you cant pot. Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - KajitiSouls - 2009-05-29 Not a bad breakdown of what's to come. And I'm interested in seeing how the Mu Gong boss will turn out xD I believe your Mana Elixir picture is wrong though. Or if it isn't wrong, then that just makes the battle plain confusing. I'll need some time to fully understand it, since I didn't really know anything about dojo before. If a party defeats a certain boss, do all members of the party get the same amount of points as someone who soloes? Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Illusion - 2009-05-29 Oh boy, no pots and only 15 mins for Pap and Mu Gong? Gonna be impossible to get this medal. >_> Mu Long Gym Conquerer Medal Accessory - All classes Weapon Attack: +5 Magic: +5 MDEF: +15 WDEF: +15 HP: +50 Accuracy: +7 Avoid: +7 How to obtain it: Defeat 100 Mu Gong(Boss of the Dojo) in the Mu Lung Dojo in Solo mode. Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - sicnarf - 2009-05-29 XBish Wrote:so killing pap and mu gong is gonna be hard since you cant pot. You'll have to rely on boss summons that drop potions, apparently. D: So what I'm wondering is do they spawn often? Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Link - 2009-05-29 Cavalier Wrote:Interesting... I'll need some time to fully understand it, since I didn't really know anything about dojo before. No. Party PQ gains half the points of Solo per round. Quote:So what I'm wondering is do they spawn often? That depends on the boss. A LOT of the bosses don't spawn the monster frequently, which makes it very difficult at bosses like Pap. Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Cavalier - 2009-05-29 Illusion Wrote:Oh boy, no pots and only 15 mins for Pap and Mu Gong? It seems possible if you can recharge the powerups fast enough and if they summon enough minions. Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Stereo - 2009-05-29 Zim Wrote:I'm positive that NLs won't be having a big problem with the accessibility of drain. You're also MP limited, even if you have 4000 mp that's only 200 TTs. 115,000 damage per TT is pretty high, so you probably have to rely on summons to drop MP pots for you. Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Lozmaster - 2009-05-29 Question: Do you lose exp within the dojo if you die, and how much? Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Link - 2009-05-29 Quote:Question: Do you lose exp within the dojo if you die, and how much?None. It's a fairly simple PQ. No EXP loss and no potion loss. Quote:actually,i think the pap spawns only not the clock so its easy, but the pap one does lots of damage so idk :S NOPE! The clock spawns, so it's fairly difficult. =/ Quote:Buccs may be able to handle this fairly well, drain and MP recovery will help them a lot. Yes and no... It has saved me quite a bit, but if you're 1/1 without Energy Charge, you're shit out of luck. MP Recovery only helps for a few seconds if you dance across the bosses to maintain invulnerability frames, so if the boss doesn't spawn anything, you're once again shit out of luck until you can use MP Recovery again. On bosses like Manon and Griffey, if you run out of MP and can't use MP Recovery and there are no potions, you're most likely going to get 1/1'd or stunned. If either happens, you can count yourself dead because the bosses do about 3.7k damage every hit and stun lasts for about 10~15 seconds. EDIT: Oh, if anyone wants to watch me do Mu Lung Dojo, I can broadcast using XFire and you can watch. Just PM me if you want to. Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Helios - 2009-05-29 That seems pretty hard. Is there a level req. for this PQ or w/e? Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - Saar331 - 2009-05-29 upload on youtube, and it stuns maybe up to 6seconds,i think pap was nerfed a bit in pq because its totaly hard to kill a boss taking him down for like n 25minutes within 30mil hp but the skills are awesome double attack or 30% hp down! thats so helpful! helios:lv req. is 25 Mu Lung Training Center(Dojo) Guide - AvatarDelta - 2009-05-29 Helios Wrote:That seems pretty hard. You will probably be unable to defeat the whole tower unless you have 4~5k hp, doesn't panic when 1/1 happens and you realise you can't pot, and of course, high DPS due to time limit. |
