The chill in the air means that it’s almost time for spooky season. Complete quests to collect Halloween-themed blueprints and furnishings. Decorate your home and make it look its creepy best!

v.245 - Spooky Halloween

Major towns will decorate for Halloween with jack-o'-lanterns and Runes will also get a seasonal look. Boo! Elite Monsters are putting on their Spooky Ghost costumes. Defeat them to get your own Halloween treats in the form of a special chair, damage skin, and cute cat ears!

v.245 - Magic Slate

Hunt monsters to earn Sweet Snacks and exchange for EXP Vouchers through the power of this ancient stone artifact. Level up with the wonders of masonry! Or you can keep your treats and nibble Sweet Snacks to earn selected stat buffs.

v.245 - Permanent Secondary Pendant Slot Change

The second pendant slot will become permanently available for all characters without the use of a separate item. This is one of many recent improvements to the MapleStory experience, with more to come.

v.245 - Cash Inventory Transfer Event

It returns! Make the most of your favorite Cash equips by moving them between the inventories of your characters in the same world. Perfect your look for your true FashionStory endgame.

v.246 - 6th Job

It’s almost here…6th Job! Unlock even greater power to control the Transcendent energy as you take your characters to the next tier! It’s been 7 years since the 5th Job awakening, and you have been preparing for months along the Journey Toward the Sixth Star. Now this next stage is only weeks away! Benefit from this amazing force as you begin a powerful growth experience and acquire new abilities. Characters at Lv. 260 will be primed to make the advancement and grow even stronger. Get ready to tap into your true potential!

• Hexa Matrix: 6th Job means a new skill matrix! Once you advance to 6th Job, you can use the Hexa Matrix system. Activate Hexa Nodes to learn the new 6th Job skills, and power-up your 4th Job and 5th Job skills too! Hexa Stat Nodes can also be used for extra stat bonuses!
  
• Sol Edra: As Maple World and Grandis merge, their Erda combines to form new Sol Erda. This is the powerful material that makes the 6th Job possible! Hunt monsters to earn Sol Erda Energy and collect Sol Erda Fragments, and use them to power your Hexa Matrix!
  

We are sorry for the many players who enjoy Beast Tamer, but Beast Tamer’s 6th Job skills are still under development and cannot be introduced in the v.246 update. Based on the development completion schedule, we are planning to open character creation for Beast Tamer along with its 6th Job skills in the first half of 2024. We are working diligently to ensure you enjoy the unique experience and fun of Beast Tamer! Once again, we ask for your understanding and patience that Beast Tamer’s 6th Job advancement is taking place later than the other jobs. We will provide additional updates regarding this in January 2024.

v.246 - Identisk Exploration

The boundary between worlds is shrinking and nowhere is this more noticeable than on the tiny islands of Iden and Tisk. As two become one, the newly formed Identisk Island appears! Take part in this new event series and aid the local islanders as they struggle to make sense of their new home.

v.246 - Hyper Burning & Burning World

With 6th Job in sight, this is a great time to create a new character or advance an existing Lv. 200+ character, and gain 2 extra levels with every level-up. Burn all the way to Lv. 260! Burning World also returns, where you create Mega Burning characters and then World Leap to a regular word after the event.

v.246 - Better Maple Improvements

• Leveling Up
  • Leveling from Lv. 210 - 299 is faster than ever with a reduced EXP curve.
    
• Arcane River
  • Earn more EXP when completing daily quests in Arcane River. You can also obtain more Arcane Symbols from daily quest rewards.
    
• Grandis
  • Earn more EXP when completing daily quests in Arcane River. You can also obtain more Sacred Symbols from daily quest rewards.
    
  • The starting level of some quests will be lowered, and the Sacred Power required in certain hunting grounds will be reduced.
    
• Monster Park
  • Two new stages will be added to Monster Park Advanced from the Tenebris area: Labyrinth of Suffering and Limina.
    
  • Intermediate will be rated for characters Lv. 140-200, and Advanced will be rated for characters above Lv. 200.
    
  • Get more EXP for clearing Monster Park Extreme!
    
• Tower of Oz
  • Alicia’s Ring Box will be removed from the Tower of Oz, and you can earn Tower of Oz Points instead. Collect new items from the Tower of Oz Witch Shop.
    
• Loot Ownership
  • Dropped loot will maintain character ownership–even after a certain amount of time has passed. Only the person who defeated the monster can collect the items and mesos.
    

v.246 - Reboot World Adjustments

The health and EXP of monsters in hunting maps will be adjusted to match that of monsters in Bera, Scania, Aurora, Elysium, and Luna worlds. The increase/decrease of damage based on the level difference between the character and the monster will be adjusted to match that of monsters in Bera, Scania, Aurora, Elysium, and Luna worlds.

Originally these were set higher in Reboot world, but gradually over time, the hunting difficulty had become much easier in Reboot.This adjusts it so that the level-up experience is similar across all worlds.

v.247 - Abyssal Expedition

Get ready for a new event where you earn Mercenaries to equip and use! Customize your mercs with their own skills and equipment, and then set them loose in event dungeons. The mercs handle the monsters and you earn the EXP!

v.247 - Battleship Arteria

A brand new area opens up for characters Lv. 280 and above. Join Cygnus, Neinheart and the Cygnus Knights as they struggle to defend Ereve from a High Flora invasion via the impressive battleship, Arteria!

v.247 - Carcion

Explore this new area for Maplers Lv. 285 and up who have completed the Battleship Arteria quests. Join forces with the residents of Carcion to protect Carcion, the Cradle of Life, from Darmoor’s apostle who seeks the power of the ancient god, Keira!

v.247 - Kaling & Kalos the Guardian Boss Difficulty

Prepare yourself as additional difficulty modes unlock for bosses Kaling and Kalos the Guardian.

• Challenge Kaling on new Easy, Hard, or Extreme modes! Beat Extreme mode for new rewards including the Helmet of Loyalty.
  
• Challenge Kalos the Guardian on new Easy, Chaos, or Extreme modes! The current Chaos mode will become Normal mode. Beat Extreme mode for new rewards including the Mark of Destruction.

Decorate with style this holiday season! Join the residents of Querencia and complete quests to get in the holiday spirit. Maplemas-themed furnishings are waiting for you, so hang your stocking by the chimney with care.

In Bera, Scania, Aurora, Elysium, and Luna worlds, you can trade these style box items with other players through the Cash Item Trade window, if you haven't equipped them. Right-click on a character to see the menu and click on 'Trade Cash Item' button to trade unequipped PSSB items.

You can also exchange them with Ari, located near the Free Market entrance, and receive a Style Box Stamp. You can receive one stamp per item. This stamp is permanent and untradeable. When you collect enough stamps, you can talk to Shiro, also located near the Free Market entrance, to exchange the stamps for a permanent equip item of your choice! PSSB items obtained in the Netherlands cannot be traded outside of the account, but can be traded within the account and be exchanged for Style Box stamps.

Event Details:

Terry came to Maple World after hearing the news that the sixth power was detected. Terry says that the Sixth Star acts as a medium that connects the warriors of Maple World with the sixth power, and asks you to collect the dispersed star fragments. If you collect the star fragments created by the energy of various powers and bring them to Terry, Terry will gather the power of the stars through the starlight concentrator. It is said that a Star Piece can be created by condensing the power contained in the star fragments, and when six Star Pieces are gathered, a Sixth Star can be created... Let's help Terry collect the star fragments scattered throughout Maple World and go on a long journey to obtain the Sixth Star and sixth power.

You can also exchange them with Ari, located near the Free Market entrance, and receive a Style Box Stamp. You can receive one stamp per item. This stamp is permanent and untradeable. When you collect enough stamps, you can talk to Shiro, also located near the Free Market entrance, to exchange the stamps for a permanent equip item of your choice! PSSB items obtained in the Netherlands cannot be traded outside of the account, but can be traded within the account and be exchanged for Style Box stamps.

• The entry conditions for Ranmaru and Princess No have been changed from per character to per world.
  • When you log in for the first time as a character who has completed the Ranmaru and Princess No prerequisite quest, this change will be applied to all your characters in that world.
    
  
  
• The following changes will be made to Ranmaru:
  • When entering the Ranmaru boss battle entrance through Sanada Yukimura located in Dead Mine III in El Nath, entry is restricted if you do not meet the level requirement.
    
  • When entering the Ranmaru (Hard) boss battle through Sanada Yukimura located in Dead Mine III in El Nath, a party creation message will be displayed if you are not in a party.
    
  • When entering the Ranmaru boss battle, if there is a party member who has not cleared the prerequisite quest, a message will be displayed indicating that the prerequisite quest has not been cleared.
    
  • Resolved an issue where a message indicating that the boss has already been defeated was displayed if there was a party member who was not on the same map when entering the Ranmaru boss battle.
    
  • Resolved an issue where a message indicating that players are not eligible to challenge the Ranmaru (Hard) boss battle would appear if there was a party member that does not meet the level requirement when entering the Ranmaru (Normal) boss battle.
    
  
  
• The following changes will be made to Princess No:

• The Night Troupe’s grand festival returns once again! This time the Night Troupe can be found in a huge wandering ship in Nautilus, the delightful pirate town!
  
• Accept the ‘[Night Troupe] Festival of Dreams and Illusions’ quest from the Night Troupe icon within the star event notifier on the left side of the screen to start the event.
  
• When you collect 100 Troupe Points, it will convert to 1 Troupe Coin.
  
• You can earn up to 300 Troupe Coins daily per world.

Requirement: Lv. 101 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2). Your character must have completed the ‘[Night Troupe] Build a Festival Tower! Decorate Your Own Festival!’ quest.

• Enjoy the festivities and receive special rewards and perks by leveling up your Designer Rank!
  
• Accept the ‘[Night Troupe] Build a Festival Tower! Decorate Your Own Festival!’ quest from the Night Troupe icon within the star event notifier on the left side of the screen.
  
• Upon accepting the quest, you will receive the Festival Designer skill that will grant stats based on your*Designer Rank during the event duration.

• Decorate the festival booths using Troupe Coins and earn special skill bonuses!
  
• Complete the main quest via the event notifier or Spiegelmann to be able to open the Festival Decorating UI.
  
• You can acquire different skills by using the Troupe Coins acquired through participating in Night Troupe events.
  
• As your rank increases, the appearance of the Nautilus Tower will also upgrade!
  
• By using your Troupe Coins, you can choose to enhance your desired skill.

Shipwreck Your Stress!

• Blow off some steam by destroying some of the many shipwrecks in Nautilus Harbor (Note: No crews were harmed in the making of this event)
  
• You can enter by talking to Muirhat located on the 1st*floor of Nautilus Tower after reaching the daily capacity of Troupe Coins.
  
• Your goal is to destroy as many Broken Shipwrecks and Shipwreck Debris that appear on the map within 2 minutes to achieve a high score.
  
• There are a total of 12 stages, and when you destroy the Broken Shipwreck and all the Shipwreck Debris on the map, you will automatically progress to the next stage.
  
• The game will end either when you clear all 12 stages or when the time runs out.
  
• You will receive Troupe Coins according to the points you scored. You will be given 1 Troupe Coin for every 10 points you have earned.
  • If you are not satisfied with the total amount of points you have earned after the game, you will have the option to retry without receiving the rewards. You can complete it again anytime if you exit without receiving the rewards.
    
  • You can also attempt again after claiming the Troupe Points. If the high score is updated, additional Troupe Points are given based on the difference.

• Your goal is to progress through a total of 10 stages sequentially.

• There are a total of three Spiegelmanns. However, two Spiegelmanns are pirates in disguise, and only one Spiegelmann is the real Spiegelmann. Your goal is to find the real Spiegelmann to win. If you incorrectly select the pirate, you lose the game.
  
• When a game starts, the three Spiegelmanns are placed on the stage and the three will be shuffled once you click the [Start] button.

• The Cash Inventory Transfer Event is back to help you reach the true endgame in FashionStory!
  
• Take this opportunity to move cash items between your characters in the same world.
  
• Follow these simple steps to transfer cash items between your characters:
  • Enter the Cash Shop.
    
  • Pick an eligible item you would like to transfer to a different character, and move it into your Cash Inventory.
    
  • Right-click the item.
    
  • Click the 'TRANSFER WITHIN WORLD' button from the menu.
    
  • Select the recipient of the item from the drop-down menu and click the 'OK' button.
    
  • The selected item will now appear in the other character’s Cash Inventory the next time you log in to that character.
    
  
  
• Rules and Restrictions
  • This event is available in all worlds.
    
  • You can only transfer cash items between characters in the same world.
    
  • Cash items cannot be transferred using the ‘TRANSFER WITHIN WORLD’ button between the classes that already share their Cash Inventory.

Jett Job Transfer Event

July 27 (after maintenance) - End of the Winter Patch (tentatively February 2024) UTC

Overview

• During the event period, Jett characters that are 4th Job or higher will be able to change their job to one of the 15 Explorer jobs through quests in the event notifier.
  
• Upon changing jobs, Jett’s currently equipped items, stats, and skills will be converted appropriately for the new job.
  
• At the end of the Jett Job Advancement to Explorer event, all non-participating Jett characters will be converted into Beginners and any Jett-related achievements will be moved to the History tab.
  
• Existing Jett characters will still be playable during the event until the start of the first Winter Patch (tentatively November 2023).
  
• At the start of the first Winter Patch, players logging into any remaining Jett characters will be required to transfer to an Explorer class.
  

Job Advancement

• Start the [Jett] Job Advancement to Explorer quest through the star event notifier on the left side of the screen to begin the Job Advancement process.
  
• After viewing a short cutscene, proceed with the [Jett] Job Advancement to Explorer quest to select your new job.
  
• Once you select the desired job, carefully read through the prompts and acknowledge the transfer details.
  
• Upon acknowledging and proceeding, the job change and equipment conversion will be complete!
  

Equipment Conversion

• Stats, Bonus Stats, Scroll Enhancements, Star Force Enhancements, Potentials, and Bonus Potentials of all equipped items will be changed to the primary stat of the Explorer Job chosen during the transfer.
  
• Job-specific equipment such as Fafnir, Absolab, Arcane Umbra, Sweetwater, Eternal, Genesis, Sengoku Era, Sengoku Era (Lupine), Terminus, and Lv.100+ Secondary Weapons and Emblems will be converted to items that can be equipped by the Explorer Job chosen during the transfer. (Note: Temporary equipment are excluded)
  
• Other job-restricted equipment will have their enhanced values changed, but the job restriction will not be changed.
  
• When transferring to a Dual Blade character, the Secondary Weapon will not be converted to a Katara. Instead, you will need to choose between a Shadow or Charm.
  
• When transferring to a Magician job, the Attack stat on a Magnificent Soul will be changed to Magic Attack.
  
• The Star Force Enhancement level of the converted items will be kept.
  
• Items that are not equipped will be excluded from the Equipment Transfer.
  • Sealed and Unsealed Genesis weapons in your inventory will be converted.
    
  
  
• Job advancement to Cannoneer is not possible if Susano-o's Baleful Blaster weapon is equipped.
  
• The following job-specific equipment items and sets will be converted to the job-specific items appropriate for the new job that is chosen.
  
• Note: Only items currently equipped on the Jett character will be converted with the exception of Sealed and Unsealed Genesis weapons in your inventory.

• Shared Skill nodes and Special nodes will not be converted and will remain in your V-Matrix.
  
• The core 5th Job Nodes for skills will also be converted to the appropriate class.
  

Familiar Conversion

• The stats and Attack/Magic ATT increase stats from the potentials of Familiars you own will be changed to the appropriate stats of the Explorer Job chosen during the transfer.

• There will be two types of compensation distributed during the event.

  • For Example: If you transferred one Jett to an Explorer Job, but you have additional Jett characters that have not transferred, you will NOT be able to claim the rewards until the additional Jett characters have transferred.
    
  • The number of Jett characters required to transfer is based on the number of Jett characters in the world when the event starts. Therefore, we strongly recommend not deleting any Jett characters after the event has started.
    
  
  

Player Ranking Changes

At the start of the Jett Job Advancement to Explorer Event, we will be rolling out a few changes to the Player Rankings on the Official MapleStory Website to handle the removal of Jett and address the concerns around the Beginner Explorer rankings.

• Jett will be removed from the Explorer Job rankings section and added to the Classic Rankings section. This new “Classic Jett” rankings will no longer be updated, but instead serve as a remembrance of the dedication and hard work you Maplers have put into Jett characters.
  
• At the end of the Jett Job Advancement to Explorer Event, the existing Beginner rankings will remain, but we will be adding a new Beginner rankings section to exclude any of the Jett characters that were converted to Beginners.
