  Keyloggers
Posted by: DrRusty - 2008-08-02, 05:15 AM - Forum: Maplestory Discussion - Replies (14)

I was wondering if there is a way to tell if there's a keylogger on someones computer, and this is the reason i'd like to know.

I let my friend play on my bandit for a little while, and he went to check my shop. In my shop there was one of those messages "hey i saw you in a video at (insert website here), and wow you were awesome!. Was that really you? It was a sweet video" well something like that. Anyways, my friend asked me the next day, "Rusty you were in a video ??" I asked him wtp he was talking about. He then told me about the message in my shop. I asked him if he went to the website, and he said why? I then told him that it was a hacking website and if you download anything that pops up from it, then you probably just got a keylogger on your computer. He swore to me up and down that he didn't go. Well I kicked him off my bandit just to be safe.

Well, last week, another friend that let that guy on his account got hacked. He lost a 66 atk craven and 40 luk katinas. I was wondering if there is a way to know for sure if there is a keylogger on a computer. I know my friend would never hack anyone else, because he's my RL friend and he doesn't even play MS anymore unless someone lets him play on their char.

  Fourth Job Skillbooks
Posted by: Harrisonized - 2008-08-02, 04:10 AM - Forum: Training Center - Replies (9)

As we all know, in the fourth job, a Skillbook is necessary to upgrade your skills from level 10 ~> level 20, and from level 20 ~> level 30.
A level 20 Skillbook needs at least 5 in the skill to activate, while a level 30 Skillbook needs at least 15 in the skill to activate.

Has anyone tried this?
1) Get the skill to level 5
2) Use the skillbook
3) Skillbook passes
4) Reset the skill back to level 4

What happens? Does the skill reset so that the skillbook's effect is nullified? (As in, it says its maxed level is 10 instead of 20, for passing the skillbook.)

Can someone test this? Thanx.

  Rush CPQ
Posted by: Trinity - 2008-08-02, 02:34 AM - Forum: Maplestory Discussion - Replies (6)

I've been doing Rush cpq for a while now. What you do is have typically 2v2.

You need to wait 2 minutes before the other party disbands.

The team thats going to win gets 50 points in 2 minutes (normally done in about 1) and then when there is 7:59 left on the clock the other team disbands and you get 6300 exp. Then its the next partys turn.

It gets 63K exp every 20 minutes which is better than A rank winning twice (not including kills)

what do you guys think?

  Warcraft III! ;)
Posted by: Anything - 2008-08-02, 01:54 AM - Forum: General Gaming - Replies (13)

Anyone here play Warcraft 3? I enjoy games ranging from Dota to Island Defence to tower defences/mauls to just about any other fun game. I'm just an average/slightly above average player for most games. If anyone just wants to play sometime feel free to whisper or add me and yes I can host. (Although I've been constantly disconnecting as of late...)

Feel free to post your IGN and any additional information. If we have enough WC3 players in this community I'll start making a player list and maybe we could start having some inhouses. Wink

My idea of Nexon's update process.
Posted by: Cheez - 2008-08-01, 09:57 PM - Forum: Maplestory Discussion - Replies (10)

Lots of people complain about the patch times, specifically extensions. But they don't even really know anything of what goes on. They seem to think it takes the blink of an eye to have something happen. That's not how it works. Here's my interpretation of what goes on. I might be wrong, but I don't work for Nexon. I also have no idea how flow charts work. Start from the bottom.

  Awesome license plates

I am not joking, today I saw a car with license plate "ZOMG". A couple weeks ago, I saw a "CTHULHU" plate.

What awesome license plates have you seen? Bonus points if you have an awesome license plate.
