The stars are aligning to guide you forward on your Maple journey. As you follow the path of the shooting stars, you’ll collect wishes that grant powerful rewards!

How to Participate

• As Sia Astelle, select ‘Wish Upon a Shooting Star’ from the Event List UI and click ‘Participate’ to start.
  • Alternatively, you can start by accepting the ‘[Wish Upon a Shooting Star] Lead Wish’ quest and talking to Sirius located in Oort.
    
• Use the ‘Wish Upon a Shooting Star’ button in the event list to track your event progress at any time!
  
• The event UI is split into two sections:
  • Wishes of Progress: Level-based progression rewards
    
  • Wishes of Style: Fashion and cosmetic rewards.
    

Wishes of Progress

• For Wishes of Progress, you’ll earn rewards as you reach level milestones throughout the event. There are two types of rewards available:

Please avoid altering your computer time when participating in this event. Any changes to your computer time clock can cause issues when creating or deleting Burning characters for this event.

Create a brand-new character during the extra-long event period and select it to have the special "Burning" effect. This event is open to characters in all worlds, as well as Challenger World, except for Sia Astelle characters (Zero characters can participate only after completing Story Quest Act 2).

After your character reaches Lv. 10, every time that character levels up it will gain an additional four levels all the way up to Lv. 260! You also have the option to designate one of your existing Lv. 200-258 characters as 'Hyper Burning MAX' instead, allowing them to gain that benefit!

In addition to all this, you'll also earn amazing rewards along the way, including Root Abyss and Fafnir gear! When you reach Lv. 200 on your ‘Burning’ character, don’t stop there but keep on training! You will receive additional rewards on your ‘Hyper Burning MAX’ character at Lv. 200, Lv. 210, and every 5 levels after Lv. 210, up to Lv. 260!

Requirement: Characters that meet one of the below criteria.

1. Characters who were newly created during the event period
   
2. Existing Lv. 200 - 258 character (For Zero character, one must be Lv. 200 - 258 and must have completed Story Quest Act 2)

Challenger World has officially made its way to Global MapleStory! It’s now available in both Interactive AND Heroic Worlds with their usual World perks and restrictions still in effect. Think of it as Burning World but more rewards, faster growth, and now available to everyone!

How to Participate

• Choose to play in either Challenger-Heroic or Challenger-Interactive. Both follow the same perks, restrictions, prices, and systems as their respective world counterparts.
  • New accounts created in Challenger-Heroic will not receive the Heroic Gift Box. This reward is exclusive to Kronos and Hyperion Heroic servers.
    
• Once a Challenger World is chosen, all characters created there can only be played within that same world. You cannot switch or create characters in the other Challenger World.
  • For example: If your first character was created in Challenger-Heroic, you will still not be able to access Challenger-Interactive even if all characters are deleted. So choose carefully!!!

This challenge is only here for a limited time, but when Challenger World ends your characters have more adventures yet to come!

Lv. 130+ characters in the Challenger Worlds will be allowed to leap to another world of your choosing during the World Leap period, taking their equipped items, inventory, and mesos with them to join their new communities. When this period begins, all Challenger World characters will be moved to the Challenger Leap Zone map, where they will be able to speak to the NPC Mover to complete their exodus.

• There will be two Challenger World Leap events for Challenger World characters:
  • 1st Challenger World Leap: August 27 (after maintenance) - September 23 at 11:59 PM UTC
    
  • 2nd Challenger World Leap: September 24 (after maintenance) - October 16 at 11:59 PM UTC
    
• The Challenger World event will end September 23 at 11:59 PM UTC. All characters after this date, will be moved to the leap zone.
  

World Leap Details

• Only characters Lv. 130 and above and up to 5 characters can World Leap.
  
• If there are no open character slots, one will be added automatically.
  • If your character slots are full, you cannot World Leap.
    
• The following items will not transfer:
  • Items and Mesos in Cash Inventory, Auction House, or Delivery Package
    
  • Background obtained from coupons, unless extracted through the Mover NPC and transferred when leaping.
    
• Characters cannot transfer if:
  • They’re in or requesting to join a guild.
    
  • They are the Guild Master.
    
• Event coins and shared skills will carry over to the destination world.
  
• Characters that are not transferred by the World Leap deadline will be deleted.

• Removal and Refunds of Custom Titles
  • With the system revamp of the Medal and Title feature, Custom Titles and Medal Fusion Anvils will be removed from the Cash Shop and in-game.
    
  • Due to this we will be providing refunds to players who currently have a Custom Title Coupon obtained from the recent sale of Easter Baskets. The refund amount will be based on the Easter Basket the item was obtained from:
    • Large Mysterious Easter Basket: 3,000 Maple Points
      
    • Small Mysterious Easter Basket: 1,000 Maple Points
      
  • Refunds will be processed in 2 waves:
    • Wave 1: During the maintenance on June 11, 2025.
      
    • Wave 2: During a future maintenance in August 2025.

  • Please note the following:
    • Custom Titles will not function after the v.260 game update and we ask to refrain from using the Custom Title Coupon after the update.

• Removal of Teleport Rocks from the Cash Shop
  • As part of a revamp to the way players navigate around the game, will be ending the sale of Teleport Rocks, Hyper Teleport Rocks, and VIP Teleport Rocks through the Cash Shop starting after the maintenance on June 11, 2025.
    
  • Players who currently have Teleport Rocks of any kind, including permanent ones, will still be able to use them alongside the revamp after the maintenance. Their functionality will remain unchanged from before the v.260 game update.
    
• New Style Box Stamp Shop
  • We will be introducing a new type of Style Box Stamp, along with its very own Style Box Stamp Shop that you can look forward to in the Stargazer update.
    
  • Without spoiling any surprises, this upcoming change will affect the way Surprise Style Box items can be exchanged for stamps. So please carefully observe the details below:
    • Items obtained from Surprise Style Boxes AFTER June 25, 2025 at 8:00 AM UTC can ONLY be exchanged for stamps that will be used in the new Style Box Stamp Shop.
      
    • Items obtained from Surprise Style Boxes BEFORE June 25, 2025 at 8:00 AM UTC can ONLY be exchanged for stamps in the current Style Box Stamp Shop.
      
    • The existing Style Box Stamp Shop through NPC Shiro will remain accessible for any players who own existing Style Box Stamps.
      
    • The items that can be purchased from the existing Style Box Stamp Shop will be updated after June 25, 2025 8:00 AM UTC.
      
• DirectX 11 Support
  • We will be introducing DirectX 11 support to provide a more enjoyable gaming experience. As such, DirectX 9 support will be discontinued from this point onward. We ask that you update to DirectX 11.0 or higher to ensure your game runs smoothly as support for DirectX 9 will end after the game update.
    
  • Troubleshooting - If the game doesn’t launch or you see a DirectX-related error after the update, we recommend checking your system’s DirectX version and updating if needed.
